Unlike store-bought milkshakes, homemade versions allow you to control the sweetness, texture, and nutritional value, making them a great option for people of all ages.
You can add ice-cream, cream or powders and more or less fruit to suit your taste. I sometime like to add squirty cream on top too.

These are the basic ingredients for a classic milkshake. Also, simple add: ice cream, milk, and flavouring to this recipe.
If you are feeling more adventures, add two or three scoops of your favourite ice cream into a blender with the other ingredients too.
Ingredients:
- Half a pint of semi skimmed milk
- 1 mug of strawberries fresh or frozen (if fresh add ice cubes to make it nice and cold!)
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 teaspoon honey to taste
You Will Also Need:
A blender or smoothie maker
Strawberries And Banana Milkshake:
Method:
- Place the semi skimmed milk, strawberries, chopped banana and honey into a liquidiser or smoothie maker.
- Blend together for about a minute, for a smoothie maker mix for 30 seconds then smooth for 30 seconds.
- Serve straight away. Enjoy.
If you prefer a thicker milkshake, use less milk. For a thinner consistency, add a little more. Once you have mastered the basics, you can begin creating your own unique combinations.
Popular flavours include chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.
Chocolate syrup, fresh strawberries, or vanilla extract can easily transform a plain milkshake into a flavourful dessert.
You can also experiment with ingredients such as bananas, peanut butter, cookies, caramel sauce, or coffee.
Adding fresh fruit can make your milkshake both tasty and refreshing.
