Flashback Friday : London Marathon 2013..

It was nearly 2 years ago when I ran my first marathon. London Marathon in April 2013.

Nothing much as changed since then. I still eat to much sugar and don’t run as much as I should do!!

Eek trying to change things now though! My first marathon I cried a lot. My second a little. This year I will be watching from the sofa as I was not lucky this year to get a place. Or maybe I was lucky as I did not have to train up,lol..

.

How much did I cry?

This much!!

  • I cried when I left my husband at the train station to go to the start of the London Marathon.
  • I cried when I was all alone at the start of the London Marathon.
  • I cried when I realised I was doing my first marathon.
  • I cried when the marathon started.
  • I cried when children in the street wanted to high five me for running.
  • I cried when I got to 13 miles and my knees went.
  • I cried when I realised I had to do another 13 miles with knee pain.
  • I cried when I had 2 miles to go.
  • I cried when I had 1 mile to go.
  • I cried when I did it in 5 hours 12 mins approx.
  • I cried when I met my family at the end.
  • I have had a great day honest!!

Have you ran a marathon?

Did you cry after a race?

I have never ran a marathon, I don't run, I just feel silly doing it I wish I could enjoy it though! Well done you that's an awesome time!

I think you are pretty amazing to have done it once, let alone more than once! I have absolutely no plans to be doing a marathon!#MagicMoments

I enjoy running across the moors to get away from my screen for a while but I've never run a marathon, so impressed you've done 2! It's a shame you didn't get in this year, it just gives you a year off before you have another go I guess! Popping in from Magic Moments.

I have never done a marathon! So I really wouldn't know. Fair play to you for doing one though! Enjoy watching it from the comfort of home this year and thank you for linking to #PoCoLo x

Oh we've just been through marathon training (the other side though with the husband) and its been an incredible journey to watch!! He said the same, he nearly cried at 25km when he realised he still had another 17 to go!! Well done though on the 2 marathons and spectator is much more enjoyable 🙂 #PoCoLo

I hadnt done marathon yet but I am planning to! Next year hopefully. I started running again this week but I only did once as my legs are killing me. I think I overdid it but I will go back hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I so envy you for doing this. I can only do 3 mile and I am dying already! I can only imagine how long I'd do 26 =) #pocolo
