Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting

Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting. Hello friends. Happy Monday. So how is your day going so far? Nice a dry today as it has rained all weekend.

Nothing to see here, just me double-dotting my way through life! I find joy in the simplicity of adding an extra dot or 2. How about you?

So today I am re-sharing a fun polka dot outfit I wore a few years ago to the farm. I still love this look and still have this jumper, skirt, and boots!!

Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting:

There is never a wrong time for a polka dot.” — Marc Jacobs

Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting. I took these photos a few years ago when were were allowed to visit the farm again, after the COVID outbreak.

We had brought a year’s pass before lockdown because my daughter loves the llamas. How sweet is this sheep? He reminds me of Murphy, my Goldendoodle!!

My signature is a double dot, which I use to add a little excitement to everyday items.

It serves as a reminder that there is always an opportunity for a hint of the unexpected—a moment that can say a thousand words—even in the apparently ordinary.

Thus, I will keep doing the double dot as I travel along. Creating a trail of mystery in my wake and encouraging others to stop, think, and maybe even join me in appreciating the beauty of the polka dot.

Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting:

Nothing To See Here Just Me Double Dotting. They had quite a few llamas here at first but sadly our favourite one, Lancelot ha died thought-out the first lockdown and then the rest have all disappeared.

Last time we visited though, they did have some sweet alpacas.

You can see some old posts here: Ain’t Got Time For Your Drama, Llama & 40+ Style. Talking of plans and not sticking to them, my daughter adores llamas and we visited a farm not too far away from us.

Last year and we all talked about getting a family year pass so we can visit them whenever we like. Ain’t Got Time For Your Drama, Llama & 40+ Style.

And… No Drama Llama: But First Llama Take A Selfie. My Daughter adores llamas, so as a little surprise, we took her to White Post Farm in Nottingham to see some.

She loved the, and so did I!! No Drama Llama: But First Llama Take A Selfie. I like to think they have been moved to another farm.

They did have a few sweet alpacas which we noticed at the end of our visit. The sheep and goats are always fun to see and oh-so cute. See the picture below!!

Tips For Double Dotting With Polka Dot Clothes:

Double dotting, or wearing polka dot clothes with other polka dot items, can be a stylish and fun fashion choice. Here are some tips to help you pull off the double dot look with confidence:

Firstly, Blend Patterns Carefully. If you’re up for the challenge, try combining polka dots with other designs like stripes or flowers. But exercise caution and ensure that the patterns do not conflict. For harmony, keep your colour scheme consistent.

Secondly, Sync Up the Colours. Select polka dot pieces that have similar colours. This gives the patterns a unified appearance and makes them work well together. For a well-balanced look, neutrals can also be combined with a splash of colour.

Thirdly, Change the Dots’ Sizes. If you are not a fan of same sized dots like me. By combining polka dots of various sizes, you may create visual interest and keep the pattern from being overpowering. For instance, match bottoms with smaller dots and tops with bigger ones.

Too Much? Split It Up:

Fourthly, Too Much? Split It Up. To keep the design from being overpowering, break up the dots with sections of solid colour. For instance, wear a skirt or solid-colored trousers with a polka-dot shirt. This keeps the ensemble from being overly cluttered and helps balance the pattern.

Fifth, Choose Your Accessories Carefully. If you’ve never done double dotting before, begin by adding polka dots to handbags, shoes, and scarves. This lets you play around with the style without having to commit to a full-on polka-dot outfit.

Sixth, Select Eye-Catching Silhouettes. Choose clothing styles that complement your unique body type. When selecting a silhouette for a polka-dot dress, make sure it highlights your best features. This guarantees a chic overall appearance that isn’t overpowering.

Play With Polka Dot Sizes:

Seventh, Play With Polka Dot Sizes. Try experimenting with the polka dots sizes if you’re feeling daring. For a fun and dynamic effect, combine big and little dots. Just watch out for the right balance.

Eighth, Examine The Situation. The occasion can determine if a double-dot ensemble is appropriate. Think about your destination and your companions. Polka dots are lively and entertaining, but in more formal or business contexts, you might want to tone them down.

Ninth, Belief is Essential. Wear your double-dot ensemble with assurance. The way you present yourself can have a big impact on how people view the ensemble. Accept the whimsical and enjoyable aspect of polka dots!

Remember, fashion is a form of self-expression, so feel free to experiment and find what works best for you. The most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing. So what do you think? Will you be double-dotting soon?

I love that close up of the sheep! I enjoy watching animals but am usually one to keep a nice distance between us.
