Olympic Torch And The Mansfield Fun Run 2012 : Creative Mondays Blog Hop. Guess who got to hold the Olympic torch yesterday?

Wow it’s been a busy busy week with the Olympic torch coming through our town on Thursday and yesterday we were even lucky enough to get a hold of the torch at the Mansfield fun run.

3 out of 4 of my kids ran the fun run my oldest just ran a bit with his little sister to help her around as he won it 2 years ago.My 15 year old won it  so I can’t wait till Wednesday to see if he got his picture in the local papers.

    Awesome pictures Clairejustine! Love them! It is great that you all got to hold the torch. Congratulations to your son for winning the fun run. I am sorry that I missed being a part of Creative Monday due to internet problems. However I will add a link. By the way, our Olympics trials helped me get through the time without my internet!:) I am a big sports fan. Have a wonderful week.

    I had no idea you were a Mansfield lady, how odd! I grew up in neighbouring Sutton-in-Ashfield, and most of my remaining family live in Mansfield still, including my dad , cousins and various Aunts and Uncles. I'm now the odd renegade member of the family who chose to live in't'smoke, down here in London. Coming up to Mansfield in mid August to visit me dad. Ey up duck!

    That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it once when the runner went right by my house when I was a kid. That experience stuck with me my whole life.
