Spring Cleaning Checklist. Hello friends, so how are you today? All 4 children back to Uni and school today. The husbands back to work too. It is going to be kind of quiet around here now!!
You know what April means? Spring Cleaning!! Ha!! Now the school holidays are over it is time to Spring clean and de-cluttered!! You can imagine how much work needs to be done after everyone was home all at once for the holiday. Days out here and there, nothing much has been done!!
First thing first, make a list so you can tick everything off one by one. Doesn’t it feel good when the list is complete?
Spring Cleaning Checklist:
- Firstly, Clear Out Old Paper.
- Secondly, Sort Out Old Clothes.
- Thirdly, Chuck The Junk.
- Fourthly, Find More Space.
- Fifth, Clean The Garage.
- Sixth, Windows Cleaned.
- Seventh Up, Up Up With The Vacuum And Cleaning Products.
- Eighth, Gardening.
Spring Cleaning Checklist:
I am so fed up with stuff everywhere and doing jobs that have built up over the holiday. Where does the time go when the children are off school?
Spring Cleaning Plans. My plans for this week.
Firstly, Clear Out Old Paper. Chuck out old papers, rip up the bill that has been paid and get rid of junk mail. How much paperwork do we collect? Sometimes I leave chucking things as they need wrapping up and file them!! I need a paper shredder in my life ideally!! Great the paper out of the house and re-cycled!!
Secondly, Sort Out Old Clothes. Clear out all wardrobes. Swap over Winter things for Summer ones and bag up old clothes for the Charity Shop. Clear out old clothes the children have grown out off, also clothes I can no longer fit into. Someone can make good use of things we can no longer wear. It is amazing how many clothes you save that are too big or too small!
Thirdly, Chuck The Junk. Clear out any junk or things that don’t get used anymore. How many things do we keep that we never use? Or will never use again!? Get old kids toys to the charity shop or car boot sale. Recycle old bottles and jar. Check food labels to see if things are still in date.
Fourthly, Find More Space: Make some space. Space is good for your mental health. It is horrible when you can not turn for things. Clear house, clear mind. Everywhere. Every room in the house. Hence, chuck the junk and make more space.
Clean The Garage:
Fifth, Clean The Garage. Clean out the garage or sheds. Any outdoor buildings. Make room for new spring garden equipment! Plan a garage makeover. Everything the children no longer wants gets chucked in here. Or if it is in still working order and usable, clear out for the car boot sale or charity shop. I would need a full week for this though!? At least a full week or three!!
Sixth, Windows Cleaned. Windows cleaned. Inside and out. I hate cleaning windows! But it has to be done. My least favourite job, so beat to be done first!? When it has been done, I love how my windows shine. On a nice spring day pop your curtains in the washer or nets. Freshen them up.
Seventh Up, Up Up With The Vacuum And Cleaning Products. Start from the bottom of our home and work upwards. Hoover and dusting. Also cleaning all kitchen appliances like down the back of the washer, fridge and cooker. Hoover the ceiling for dust and cobwebs! Polish all the mirrors and picture frames along the way! Clean both bathrooms from top to bottom. Pop you bed shots into the washer and let them dry outside. Love spring wash days. Especially if it is a bit windy. Dust any blinds.
Eighth, Gardening. Start planning the garden. Overgrown grass needs cutting and I need to start thinking of planting some new flowers.
Spring Cleaning Checklist:
Here are just a few things to be done on my list. I am sure there are plenty more things I will remember that needs doing!! So I am going to be busy all week here!! Also, I think it will be next week too. What are your Spring cleaning checklist plans?

Firstly, How To Make Elderflower Bakewell Mug Cakes. Hello friends, so how are you today? From late May, the gentle hum of bees can be heard in the English hedgerows, as they burst into flower with the frothy, lace-like blossoms of the elderflower offering a beautifully fragrant, pollen laden sanctuary for the humble bumble! Secondly, Thrift Thursday: Red Tartan Dress And An Apple Dress. Yesterday was one of those wasted days where you get nothing much done. (I had so much to do too). But it wasn’t all a waste of a 3 mile round journey back to the Doctors because I found these lovely dresses on the pound rail at the charity shop. I hadn’t been to a charity shop in a long time and was quite happy with the clothes I found. Dresses can be found in a local charity shop. Have you found any good deals? Don’t you think they’ll look amazing with leggings and boots? Thrift Thursday: Red Tartan Dress And An Apple Dress.

Great idea making a list for when routines get back to normal…I was just thinking about doing a big clear out for next week's half term – and you've give me come great ideas!
I really need to work on my craft room this week! And my bedroom closet. If I could even get anywhere near done on those rooms, I'd be happy! Good Luck with your Spring cleaning. Love the tulips!

Thanks Michelle, eek still trying to get on top of it all 🙂
Good luck, that will make a massive difference! I'm in the middle of a gradual declutter at the moment so I'll be joining you on the paperwork and I'm also sorting through my bookshelves, passing some things on and making space for the things that I really want on display.
