I never got no sleep Monday night with traveling all way through the night. 5 hours jumped when we landed at 2.30 am (New York time). As it was 7.30 am in London when we landed and the clocks changed.

It is amazing how much you can fit into 5 days if you really want to. I loved everything about our visit to New York. Now trying to go through well over 1,000 photos.

Loving this Ted Baker maxi skirt I picked up the day before we flew to New York. I had to squeeze one more thing into my suitcase and this was it!!

I loved styling this maxi skirt as it was such a statement piece. So here I am, sharing how to style a maxi skirt and a few more tips.

Here Are 5 Styling Tips For Wearing A Maxi Skirt:

Firstly, Wear A Fitted Top.

When worn with a fitted top, a maxi skirt’s volume is balanced and a streamlined profile is produced. With a maxi skirt, you can also wear a crop top, tank top, or blouse tucked in.

I wore a fitted lightweight jumper with mine. Also, I think it I looked lovely. I did fasten my coat here though, as I was cold.

Secondly, Consider Wearing A Denim Jacket.

I mostly wear mine with a denim jacket because they go together perfectly. I took this long coat with me and I think it looked good too with everything I packed.

Have a try on, see which coat you prefer. A denim jacket is an adaptable item goes well with virtually anything, including a maxi skirt.

It gives your outfit a more laid-back vibe and looks excellent with a flowing maxi skirt.

Thirdly, Add A Belt.

Wearing a belt can also define your waist and give your outfit a polished appearance when worn with a maxi skirt.

You can decide between a wide and a skinny belt. Also beaded belts and crystal belts give it a more boho feel to it.

Maxi skirts are also perfect for creating a boho look. You can pair a printed maxi skirt with a crop top, layered jewellery, denim jacket and a pair of sandals or Converse for a great look.

Add Comfy Trainers:

Fourthly, Add Trainers.

You may also pair your maxi skirt with trainers for a more laid-back and comfortable style. If you’re running errands or taking a walk, it’s a fantastic alternative.

I loved wearing mine with trainers for walking miles and miles. Love Converse with a maxi too.

Fifth, Also Dress It Up.

Maxi skirts can be made more formal by dressing them up. For a stylish and sophisticated style, team it with a silk blouse, statement jewellery, and heels.

Love heels for going out. Not that I go out much, but for when I do.

You should always have fun experimenting with different looks and keep in mind that the key to dressing a maxi skirt is to balance the volume of the skirt with a fitting shirt or a belt.

I love getting a few different tops and trying them on to see which one goes best.

As it went with everything I was taking. I tried to style my dresses around this coat.
