Sherwood Forest: The International Day of Forests. Hello friends, happy Monday. So how are you today?
As today is The International Day of Forests, I thought I would share a post that is all about Sherwood Forest.
It is such a beautiful forest with lots of fun things to see and do here.

Sherwood Forest: The International Day of Forests.
The best of all, it is just on our doorstep. We are so lucky to live so close to Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. I can not wait to take Murphy The Goldendoodle on some walks around here in the summer.
On the International Day of Forests, Sherwood Forest steps into the spotlight, proving that it’s not just a place for merry men in tights and archery enthusiasts with green hats.
Today, Sherwood Forest proudly declares itself the place of all things leafy and woodsy.
Robin Hood might have been busy robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, but even he would pause to appreciate the intricate dance of squirrels doing the cha-cha and the majestic rustling of leaves.
So, raise your quivers, put on your best green attire, and join the forest fiesta.
It’s the only day of the year when even the trees take a break from their routine to throw some shade – literally.
Happy International Day of Forests, where Sherwood reigns supreme, and the only arrows you need are the ones pointing you towards a whimsical woodland adventure!

We had a jam-packed week because the kids and even hubby were on half-term break from school and work.
Even when the weather was bad, we were kept busy. We attempted to make the most of Monday, which was the best day of the week. We travelled to Sherwood Forest in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire, on Monday.
The weather was perfect for the season, and the sun shone brightly. Not like the remainder of the week, which was boring and rainy, as previously said.
We wanted to go somewhere that we could spend a few hours and that was also puppy-friendly. Also, we needed a place where we could exhaust the puppy as well as the kids. We had a feeling this would be the best day of our week. Sherwood Forest: Country Kids And Getting Outdoors. So much fun.

What a cool place to visit! We love woods and trees and typically plan our spring break hiking. My boys would love to plant trees but no space for that in our yard. We will stick to flowers.
