A Day Out in York: History, Shopping, and Sipping in Style! Way Back Wednesday Style Post. Hello friends. Happy Wednesday.
The weather has turned so cold again here and today I have been shivering as I am so cold!! The kids are off school, and I haven’t been out of the house as it is so cold, it has even been snowing!!
Today I am sharing a Way Back Wednesday photo post.
From a day out in York. Sometimes you are on the move all the time and forget to share photos as you have moved on to another day out then times like now you go back and remember, whoo I forgot to share that day!!
Then wonder why because it was a great day out, then remember because the kids were off school and you just did not have time then.

A Day Out in York: History, Shopping, and Sipping in Style! I am throwing this Way Back Wednesday post way back to July 2018 and a day out and as mentioned, in York!
Such a fun day out with family. I do not think we have been to York before, maybe I went as a child but can not remember. It was a lovely day out and so much to see.
York, with its enchanting cobbled streets, centuries-old architecture, and vibrant mix of attractions, is an ideal spot for a leisurely day out.
Add in the effortless style of a chic maxi dress, and you’re set for a day of exploring, dining, and capturing Insta-worthy shots.
Here’s a stylish itinerary for enjoying York in all its historical and modern splendor.
How do I spend a day in York? Read on… First breakfast to fill you up nicely.
A Day Out in York: History, Shopping, and Sipping in Style!
Firstly, Betty’s Café Tea Rooms. Enjoy breakfast or lunch in a classy atmosphere at the well-known York institution, Betty’s Café Tea Rooms, to start the day.
Secondly, The National Railway Museum. After breakfast we starting out at the National Railway Museum and it was great seeing all the old trains. So many to see and as you can guess, the afternoon tea train was my favourite.
York Minster:
Thirdly, A Walk Around York Minster. An interesting walk around The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York. Also, the grounds. So much history here.
Style Note: You’ll feel completely at home in the cathedral wearing a maxi dress because they’re comfortable and modest.
For the walk, choose comfortable shoes, and think about carrying a crossbody bag so you can take pictures with your hands free.

You will want to take lots of photos. Especially in summer when all the flowers are out.
How pretty are these flowers?
Stunning. You know me, I love taking photos of beautiful flowers.
Fourthly, A Walk Around The Shops And Restaurants. So many good shops and places to eat. That is all we had time for in one day. We must make it a weekend, next time.
So have you visited York before?

Fun flashback photos, Claire! I have been wanting to go to a museum or someplace like that for a while now. There just are not any open in my area right now and I don’t want to do all the driving required to get to a worthwhile museum. The nearest one is probably an hour away.
