Central Park Style Diaries: Wearing Wide Leg Turn Up Jeans After 50.
I am loving these jeans I picked up from Marks And Spencer, just before I went away, last week. I did a mini try on instore, to see which style fit me best and came away with these beauties.
Kind like a pinstriped jean with high waist and turn ups.
I brought some shorter legged ones at first, trying to be trendy, too sit above the ankle but then when I thought about it, I exchanged them for the longer legged ones, and was glad I did.
The shorted length would have been better with heels, which I don’t wear!!
These ones fit perfectly and go great with trainers and Converse.
Marks and Spencer jeans, are a great fit for the over 50 woman, aren’t they?
A Woman who understands exactly what she wants to wear after 50 has a certain power. Don’t you think? Not younger. Not following trends. Just confident.
Wide-leg turn-up jeans are among the few items that best reflect that attitude with trying to look too young or too old.
They add a casual pace to everyday fashion, the kind you could see strolling through Central Park while sipping coffee and not in a rush.

Central Park Style Diaries: Wearing Wide Leg Turn Up Jeans After 50.
So this week, I am a bit behind as I’m was to busy enjoying myself!! Last Wednesday we left to go to New York for few days!!
We had over an hour delay sat on the plane before a 8 hour flight with all the rain but seeing all the videos of the car park at the airport being underwater, no wonder!!
Then how lucky were we to miss the NYC flooding!! We had an amazing 5 days together, just my husband and I.

How adorable are the sea lions at Central Park Zoo?
Me thinking I’ll exercise later!!
Central Park makes me wish I had brought my trainers.
I wasn’t sad, I just needed a holiday.
Love this polka dots top by Reserved.
These photos were taken on the last day, when you have to wear your heavy clothes to go home in so you can fit your new clothes into your hand luggage! It was red hot this day too, well into it’s 30’s.
I did end up buying 2 Zara polka dot jackets, whilst I was there so needed the room! I can not wait to wear them.

The balance of wide-leg turn and-up jeans is what makes them feel so stylish. I had some over 11 years ago by Abercrombie and Fitch and loved them.
The broader style elegantly softens the body while the structured denim provides shape. A turned-up hem adds ease and purpose, resulting in movement that feels contemporary without being overly dramatic.
That balance is important for women over 50.
Style becomes less about rules and more about refinement, comfort, and authenticity.
Effortless New York Style in Your 50s with Per Una Striped Wide Leg Jeans What I Wore:
Also, if you are walking around New York a good pair of trainers is recommended! We walked around 12 miles, every full day we were there.
5th Avenue T-shirt: Primark | Jeans Per Una Marks & Spencer’s | Trainers: Nike Air Force 1’s
A crisp white t-shirt tucked loosely into mid-wash turn-up jeans creates an instantly casual daytime look.
Add trainers and oversized sunglasses, and the outfit feels timeless rather than trendy.
On cooler days, a camel bomber jacket or soft cashmere knit layers effortlessly over the relaxed denim shape. The result is polished, understated, and endlessly wearable.
What makes this style especially appealing is its versatility. Wide leg jeans work equally well with trainers for morning walks or shoes for dinner downtown.
They skim rather than cling, offering comfort while still looking sophisticated.
That combination becomes increasingly valuable with age, when women often prioritise quality and confidence over fast fashion statements.

No good at making jeans decision!!

Black Jumper And Ripped Jeans Kinda Day: Black & White Photos:
Black Jumper And Ripped Jeans.
I love editing my photos and love how these ones turned out. Really edgy!! So what do you think of my outfit? Also what do you think of these photos?
Loving these Abercrombie and Fitch jeans. The fit perfectly and so soft and stylish. A good pair of jeans is well worth the money, aren’t they?
As for shoes, I always go for cheap and cheerful. Well almost always. I do like a good pair of trainers and winter boots.
Styling a black jumper and ripped jeans offers a versatile and effortlessly chic look perfect for various occasions. I wore this look for a casual day off and going shopping.
Start by selecting a fitted black jumper to create a sleek silhouette, which balances the edgy vibe of the ripped jeans.
For a casual daytime ensemble, pair the outfit with white trainers and a crossbody bag.
To step up the look for an evening out, swap the trainers for strappy sandals or heels. Also, add statement jewelry like bold earrings or a chunky bracelet.
Layering with a leather or denim jacket can add extra dimension and style.
