Flip Flops Are Fun But Sometimes Your Flips Flops! Some of my latest posts are always a bit of a downer lately, ( about losing Mollie) so today I thought I would share a bit of a fun post with you.
I thought as I have been ill, I will share a post from about a month ago when we went to Skegness.
It has got a lot colder since this day. But not today as we are having a mini heatwave!!
So as I’m still a little poorly, I am guessing this will the my first and last time I get to wear shorts, shorts this year too.
Flip flops are fun in summer, especially when at the beach but I can always guarantee whenever they break, you don’t have any more footwear with you!
Like a few weeks ago when we were on Skegness beach!!
I decided to take a shortcut through some water but what I didn’t realise was that under the water was mud, lots of mud.
Trying to walk through water and mud was like sinking sand.

I have lost count of the times my foot has gone through a flip flop and left me flying to the floor or hurting my foot or toes by skidding out of them, but I still keep buying them every year for the beach.
I had to try and keep mending them, walk so far then my foot came out of them again. Yeap, when I least expected it and went flying every time!! Yes, they did go straight in the bin when I got back to the caravan.
You would think I have learned by my age, wouldn’t you!!
When I was looking on Google I found out Flip-Flops Cause More than 1 Million Accidents and Close-Calls Each Year!! Honestly, I am not surprised!! So my question today is, have you ever had any bumps or falls or flips flopping?
Anyway here is me in more practice footwear before we went to the beach!!

I very really get my pale legs out nowadays but not many days away over the last few years meant they were called for. Plus it was read hot weather so great timing.

Flip flops really are quite dangerous! And I hate when they make really loud flip flopping sounds! I once broke a flip flop during plane travel and had to walk through the airport in my bare feet to get to my checked luggage for shoes. It was so gross being barefoot in the airport that I now never wear any kind of sandals for air travel and I always keep an extra pair of shoes in my carry on!

Oh I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been poorly, Claire. I hope you’re feeling better now! I have had many a near misses in my flip flops! I can totally understand why they cause so many accidents! Your video made me giggle….love hearing your voice too!

I remember them breaking before and I fell over, not sure why I brought more.
I ended up tossing all of my flip flops! I just got the new Birks this summer and love the arch support they have!

We have Archies here – they’re flip flops with Arch support. They don’t break – or never have for me! I love them!

I have the same problem with flip flops! I mostly only wear them for the beach and pool now. I like shoes to stay on my feet lol!

Me too. I like nice comfy shoes nowadays. I don’t think I will be buying anymore!
Oh that is so true! We were out hiking (a relatively flat beach-like trail) a few years ago when my flip flop broke and I remember trying to limp back to the car with one broken flip flop. It was yucky enough that I didn’t want to go barefoot.

Oh no, very similar to what happen to me too. Never another pair of shoes on you when you need them.
