Nottingham Christmas Market

Nottingham Christmas Market: Creative Mondays Link Up. Happy Monday friends. So how are you today?

Thanks for stopping by today, how has your weekend been?

A fun afternoon in Nottingham Saturday with my Daughter and Husband (Well a planned trip to Birmingham was on the cards but plans change).

We were heading to Birmingham to meet our Son half way but it was really busy on his train due to a few cancelled train and decided to go back home.

Nottingham Christmas Market:

I am feeling a little better from the flu on Saturday so we had a walk around Nottingham. I’ve had a few days off work last week and done nothing!!

Yeah, nothing. I had so much to do too!!

Well I say nothing but I did wait for the builders to do some work then go to sleep to recover from flu.

What I Wore

Didn’t even buy anything in Nottingham though, only food!

I realised when we were out how much I hate shopping when it is so, so busy.

I went into a pound shop to look for my Daughter and had a strange feeling I needed to shout. GET ME OUT OF HERE…

I hate the feeling of being crammed into a shop and you can not get out.

Nottingham Christmas Market:

I really need to do some Christmas shopping though. As I’m so behind.

Do you hate shopping when it is really busy too? I love Christmas shopping online in the comfort of my own home.

We did have a fun time around the market though. I love all things Christmas-y.

I hate shopping when it’s busy too. The market looks amazing though – I would enjoy wandering around it as long as I wasn’t trying to buy a load of stuff

The older I get, the less I care to be out in the hustle and bustle of the season. But I have to say these decorations made me smile!

Ha, Claire, I thought I was the only person in the world who couldn’t stand Christmas markets until I read this post! I once got stuck in the one in Union Square in NYC—I couldn’t find my way out and almost had a panic attack. I’ve hated them ever since! 😀

OH yes, I get very claustrophobic when stores are crowded and actually try to avoid shopping in store between Thanksgiving and Christmas unless I can sneak in at odd times (like a weekday morning!).

    • 10 December 2019 / 08:50

Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for joining us.

I am so glad to hear that you are felling better and have recovered from the flu, Claire. It looks like Nottinghan is a beautiful place to be during the holidays. I love looking at all the decorations and could just feel the holiday spirit in the air. I am not a fan of big crowds. It makes the experience a lot less stellar and just frustrating. So online shopping it is in my neck of the woods! Wishing you a great week ahead!

Thank you Maureen. Love seeing everywhere dresses up for Christmas.

Claire, I love your snakeskin jumpsuit and those awesome patent booties! So sassy! I am with you on crowded marketplaces. I really cannot tolerate it either, I start to feel claustrophobic. I have done all of my shopping online this year. But I am going to have to venture out at some point and buy wrapping paper! Sorry to hear you had the flu. That is just miserable. I hope you are feeling better now!

Thanks Shelbee. I just hate being in crowded places, ha!! Now a shop to myself would be perfect!
