Nottingham Christmas Market:
A fun afternoon in Nottingham Saturday with my Daughter and Husband (Well a planned trip to Brimingham was on the cards but plans change 😥). We were heading to Birmingham to meet our Son half way but it was really busy on his train due to a few cancelled train and decided to go back home.
I am feeling a little better from the flu on Saturday so we had a walk around Nottingham. I’ve had a few days off work last week and done nothing!! Yeah, nothing. I had so much to do too!!
Well I say nothing but I did wait for the builders to do some work then go to sleep to recover from flu. Didn’t even buy anything in Nottingham though, only food! I realised when we were out how much I hate shopping when it is so, so busy.
I went into a pound shop to look for my Daughter and had a strange feeling I needed to shout. GET ME OUT OF HERE… I hate the feeling of being crammed into a shop and you can not get out.
I really need to do some Christmas shopping though. As I’m so behind. Do you hate shopping when it is really busy too? I love Christmas shopping online in the comfort of my own home π
We did have a fun time around the Nottingham Christmas market though. I love all things Christmas-y. Nottingham Christmas Market: Creative Monday Link Up: Today I am sharing a few photos from Saturday:

I hate shopping when it’s busy too. The market looks amazing though – I would enjoy wandering around it as long as I wasn’t trying to buy a load of stuff

The older I get, the less I care to be out in the hustle and bustle of the season. But I have to say these decorations made me smile!

Ha, Claire, I thought I was the only person in the world who couldn’t stand Christmas markets until I read this post! I once got stuck in the one in Union Square in NYCβI couldn’t find my way out and almost had a panic attack. I’ve hated them ever since! π

Love the pictures of the outside of the market. I have a hard time shopping when it is crowded. I did some shopping online and then went to a few shops in town. I just need to finish shopping for my husband right now.

Thanks for joining us Debbie. Always love to see how you have decorated your home.
OH yes, I get very claustrophobic when stores are crowded and actually try to avoid shopping in store between Thanksgiving and Christmas unless I can sneak in at odd times (like a weekday morning!).

Sounds like a great idea π Thanks for joining us.
I am so glad to hear that you are felling better and have recovered from the flu, Claire. It looks like Nottinghan is a beautiful place to be during the holidays. I love looking at all the decorations and could just feel the holiday spirit in the air. I am not a fan of big crowds. It makes the experience a lot less stellar and just frustrating. So online shopping it is in my neck of the woods! Wishing you a great week ahead!

Thank you Maureen. Love seeing everywhere dresses up for Christmas π
Claire, I love your snakeskin jumpsuit and those awesome patent booties! So sassy! I am with you on crowded marketplaces. I really cannot tolerate it either, I start to feel claustrophobic. I have done all of my shopping online this year. But I am going to have to venture out at some point and buy wrapping paper! Sorry to hear you had the flu. That is just miserable. I hope you are feeling better now!
