Shopping In Meadowhall And The New Normal

‘Shopping In Meadowhall And The New Normal’. Hello friends. Happy Monday. How are you today? Enjoy your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

Well, it was back to work for me yesterday but we did get out the day before.

On Saturday the last day of my work holiday we deiced to do something that we have not done in months!! Go shopping!!

Shopping In Meadowhall And The New Normal

Shopping In Meadowhall And The New Normal:

No, I do not mean food shopping, we’ve been doing that I mean clothes shopping!! As a family too. Well my youngest 2, the husband and I. Something else we don’t do very often too.

My kids are not fans of going out in crowds at the minute with COVID-19. But we have to get them ready for back to school so a trip out with other people did them good.

I started to get ready and all excited about going out then putting on my make up and then I thought, what’s the point!? I will only be wearing my mask ha!! At least my eyes were done!

The New Normal

Meadowhall in Sheffield:

Meadowhall did have a good system in place which was one way around and lots of keeping your distance markers.

Once it started to get busy though there were a few people going the wrong way or diving in front of you. That is when we decided to call it a day.

We had a budget to spend and gave the kids some money but as you can guess I was the first one to spend mine!!

Let loose in the shops after not going shopping for months!! I got some sandals in the sale a few bits from Primark where I got a gorgeous dress I can not wait to wear. I also got some nice quality make up from Superdrug as it was ‘buy 2 get one free’. So I came out with 6 new items of make up.

Second to finish the budget was my son who got a few pairs of lovely trousers and a shirt for back to school. My daughter got a few bits but saving the money for a nice pair of Vans and my husband didn’t see anything he wanted this time as he is saving up for an Apple watch.

Shopping In Meadowhall And The New Normal:

Wearing a mask is now starting to feel normal but I still don’t like breathing in them. A few trips outside to get my breath and a stop in the food courts for something to eat helped.

So this is a little look inside Meadowhall shopping centre at the new measures and what we thought of shopping there at the minute. I hope this post helped if you are thinking of visiting yourself?

For anyone who does not know, Meadowhall is an indoor shopping centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England.

What I Wore Shopping:

Claire, you look so pretty and mysterious! I love it! I am trying to make the best of the mask situation but I don’t think I will very be able to accept it as any kind of normal. But until this passes, we must do what me must. I just ordered a few cute masks to help me embrace it better! Thanks for linking up.

Theres no way you’re getting me to shop for other than essentials (other than online) in the UK, however I’m currently in Dubai where covid is being handled really well and I’ve visited several malls. Thanks for joining in with #pocolo and hope to see you back again soon

Hi I’m not in a hurry to go clothes shopping again. It was nice just to try it and be able to share my experience here for anyone who is interested πŸ™‚ I work in a supermarket and had to work ever week from before lock-down so I am kind of used to it. My hand gel goes everywhere with me!!

I’m getting more used to my mask too but I still have a hard time wearing it longer than a shopping trip here or there. I am loving the not bothering with makeup though.

I dont wear make up much now, especially when I wear my mask. I was just pleased to be going out and I forgot this time πŸ™‚

I have been taking the boys to Target with me to get them out of the house. They started school last week with 2 days in school and they are loving the social aspect of it a lot. The school has a good system in place. Kind of still feels like vacation though because they don’t have that much work the days at home (except for my high schooler, he has lots of work!). Lovely polka dot dress and so glad you got to have an outing shopping.
