Firstly, My Week Off Work And What I Have Been Doing!
This week is the first week I have had off work this year and I am so proud of myself for not using all my holiday up by June again as I did last year.
I am feeling a bit worn out though. I could do with a holiday abroad.

Talking of holidays abroad, I am waiting for my passport to be renewed as I have not been on holiday out of the UK for 18 years!! Kids, eh! It did get expensive with 4 so we stopped going.
Now we can go, we have a puppy so maybe we will not end up using it until next year when Murphy can stay with someone and we, well I wouldn’t be worrying! Watch this space!!

All 3 photos above were taken at the Waterfall in Newstead Abbey.
murphygoldendoodle2021 Love Murphy. Here is is exploring the waterfall at Newstead Abbey. See my reel here: murphygoldendoodle2021 Newstead Waterfall.

Living in Nottinghamshire is cool as we have so many amazing parts of the countryside around us. We have had some fun days out with Murphy though. Woolton Park. Vicars Waters. Newstead Abbey, and Gelding Country Park, to name just a few. Today we visited Bakewell. All with Murphy of course.
Did You Know That This Month Is, National Picnic Month?
Secondly, Did You Know That This Month Is, National Picnic Month?

Seventh, Did You Know Today Is International Plastic Bag Free Day?
I try to live without plastic bags, whenever possible. We buy tough wearing recycle bags for our shopping.
I did carry 2 packs of 6 pancakes, 6 pack of crumpets, and a loaf of bread about a mile the other day to save using a carry a bag. Do you try to stop using them too?
Eighth, Today Is Also Stay Out Of The Sun Day.
Do you love the sun or do you try to avoid it? I used to love the sun in my teens but I try to stay out of it nowadays. But realised how horrible my legs looked the other day and how much I need to share some sunlight with them!!
I do put lots of suntan cream on, go out in it and then realise I have lots of jobs to do inside, grr!!
Ninth, National Chocolate Wafer Day.
Do you love a chocolate wafer? How about making a Kit Kat Smoothie? Love a Kit Kat in a smoothie!

Thirdly, Chicken Breast with Haricot Beans, Tomatoes, And Pesto Dressing.
Pulses such as haricot beans are good for the health of the gut.
They contain complex carbohydrates called oligosaccharides and resistant starch that are broken down by bacteria in the gut to produce nutrients which help to keep the gut wall and other systems in the body healthy. Chicken Breast with Haricot Beans, Tomatoes, And Pesto Dressing.
