Castleton is a beautiful village situated at the head of the Hope Valley in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
It has some lovely shops and bars by the looks of it. We ran out of time and didn’t get the chance to pop in any but we have to save something to do for next time, don’t we?
Also lots of great walks to be taken here. Not forgetting to mention the breathtaking view on our car journey here. Miles and miles of beautiful views and fresh air.
The village is popular for its show caves, history, shops, Christmas lights, garland ceremony, Winnats Pass, Cave Dale and for those wishing to walk on the numerous footpaths in the area.
