Eat Out To Help Out: First Meals Out Since Lock-down. Hello friends. Happy Wednesday. How are you today?
Eat out to help out! Have you been out for a meal yet after lock-down? We have been taking advantage of the #eatouttohelpout offer over the last week or so.
All dressed up and somewhere to go for a change!!
Eat Out To Help Out: First Meals Out Since Lock-down:
Last week we went off for a meal out in Wetherspoons and a had our first KFC meal out this year (on a different day).
Yesterday we went out for another meal. A family meal with my husband and all our 4 children and sons girlfriend. We had been planning it all day but it was hard work booking somewhere.
Booking a slot for 7 people is hard work when the offer is on. When you are booking a table for larger families I would guess it is better to book it a few days before. Especially when some places let you book and then cancel it 3 hours later.
Thankfully though, some places still let you queue and you do not have to book online. We did get straight into one place with no hassle 👌
The restaurant we have been too are nice and quiet when you get inside. Which is lovely. Also, everyone’s tables were well separated.

What Is Eat Out To Help Out?
The government’s new “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme launched on 3 August and gives diners the opportunity to enjoy 50 per cent off their meals at participating restaurants.
The scheme was created as a bid to encourage the public to support the hospitality industry by going out to eat at local restaurants.
How Do You Get The Money Knocked Off?
All you have to do to claim the discount is turn up to a participating restaurant and order your favourite meal.
The discount should then be automatically taken off your bill if you’re dining in a participating restaurant during the conditional timings. (Usually Monday to Wednesday).
However, some restaurants have pulled out of the scheme so make sure you double-check before you book or turn up.
(Offer ends 31st August so be quick;))
We might just plan another meal out tonight!! Maybe a cheeky KFC because I love their gravy!!
