Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday!?

Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday!? Hello friends, happy Friday. So how are you today? Are you looking forward to the weekend? Oh, my gosh, I am!!

I am so looking forward to the weekend as it is my weekend off work. Also, I have some very rare, fun plans booked! We never plan or book anything, nowadays so plans will be good.

I just feel a bit tired lately, as having a puppy is catching up on me. A few days off work will do me so much good.

Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday:

Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday!? Also, plans are good to have set, so something to look forward to. With covid being bad again this winter, no plans have been made for months. I miss visiting London, so much too.

I even took all my holiday from work last year by summer, so I have not had any time off in months either. The worst thing was, I never went anywhere when I did have time off. I just sat at home!

Anyway, it is my mum’s birthday is this weekend too and my 16-year-old daughter think’s being 69 is such a funny age to be!! Enough said there!

Tired Out With A Puppy!

A puppy looks cute, from the outside but even a good boy like Murphy can have its moments. Especially when you try and time things around work. I get up, do a bit of work on the computer and then try and walk Murphy.

But at the minute, he is still not sure what walkies are, so taken his time to walk down the street. Like 20 minutes!! Keep sitting down and looking around him at all the notices that are going on. What’s that drilling noise? Is that a child, screaming? Oh my gosh, what is that flying quickly about my head, is that a bird?

A Day Off Work:

On days off, it is an eye or dentist appointment here, hairdressers or hospital appointment there. Shopping to be done, visiting family, and looking after a puppy, takes all the time up.

Making Plans:

Anyway, I am making some fun plans for the weekend and I might even get dressed up and put some make-up on. I now need a bit of me time. It has been ages since I got dressed up as having a puppy isn’t as easy as you might think.

I have got to the point where I ask my daughter to watch Murphy 10 minutes, then run for a shower, brush my teeth and hair as quickly as I can, before he starts to bite her. And that’s me ready for the day.

So I have been wearing my old clothes and I’ve not put any make-up on this year so far! I got lots of new make-up for Christmas too so let’s hope I have not forgotten how to put it on!

Instagram:

Just lately, I keep forgetting to post to Instagram but I did do a fun reel the other day. I really need to post more often over there but I keep forgetting as I am always short on time. Pop over and catch my Instagram Reel here:

Working On Seo’s:

I have also been tidying up the blog a bit. Working on SEO’S and working on old unloved posts. I republished this Pistachio, Oat, And Cranberry Breakfast Pancakes recipe the other day because I really need to make some more and keep forgetting.

This way it will remind me to make some. Pancake day is just around the corner too. Next Tuesday, isn’t it?

Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday!?

Talking of pancake day, another recipe I want to make up is this Vanilla Easter Cup Cakes. How sweet!?  But I still have 40 days leading up to Easter after Tuesday to make some of these.

So are you planning on any Easter baking? How about making some super cute creamy cupcakes, too? You can find the recipe here: Vanilla Easter Cup Cakes.

So yesterday when looking for presents for my mum’s birthday, we found this adorable jumper for Murphy, half price at only £3.00. How amazing!! My daughter and I just looked at each other in amazement and said, we ar4 buying this! Murphy In His Jumper.

Check out his Instagram post here: When your dog is dressed up nicer than you. Murphy On Instagram.

Murphy Gaining Confidence:

Yesterday, he also learned something that he has been afraid to do for a while. Go downstairs! He has loves to run upstairs from day

1. He can go down steps at the park but he has been afraid of going downstairs for some reason. Every time it goes to coming down the stairs, he barks like mad. As if to say ‘pick me up’ and I have been doing for an easy life. But he is getting so heavy and I have been hurting my back, every time he runs off, upstairs, then needs carrying downstairs.

But now he has eventually done it, he is so much more confident in going downstairs now he has. He actually runs down now, with a spring in his step.

After the photo in his jumper was taken, I attempted Murphy’s first haircut.

Well not an hair cut, more of a trim around his eyes. You can not see his eyes very much for the curls, so I had a go at cutting around them.

I am pleased to say, all went well and we can now see his beautiful big brown eyes again. Talking of big eyes, check out his Instagram photos here! When he had a bath. Oh my, What Big Eyes You Have.

Keep Calm And Run On:

Keep Calm And Run On:

I thought I would update this old forgotten post too as I really want to make effort to go running again this weekend.

Things that are top of my list from now on are:

Firstly, start and try fitting again. I have become so lazy since the start of lockdown two years ago and so unfit.

Secondly, burn some of the fat that has built up whilst not exercising!

Thirdly, move some of the weight I collected over the last few years.

Fourthly, start running and spinning again.

What is on your to-do list?

Keep Calm: OMGOSH Did Someone Say Friday!? Have a great weekend 🙂

Happy Birthday to your mum and what a cute puppy, you’ll be glad one day that Murphy can’t climb the stairs. Thanks for linking with #pocolo

What an adorable little pup! It sounds like having a new puppy and having a new baby sound an awful lot alike.

I need to fall back in love with running. I normally do a couple 1/2 marathons a year. This year, I've only signed up for one. I have fallen out of love with running since gaining some weight. It's a catch 22 but running with the excess weight really makes it harder. Good luck with your goals!Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.

Mine is to start running 'properly' again ie not walk uphill & to find some events to enter to keep me motivated.

Thanks Christine, good luck with your goals.
