I love to go out for afternoon tea, whenever we are both off work but also love making tea and treats at home. To eat in the garden.

Whether you’re sitting down with friends or enjoying a quiet moment all to yourself, a pretty little cake (or two!) always makes things feel extra special.

So today I’m sharing a few of my favourite mini cake ideas for afternoon tea. Also, perfect for garden parties, birthdays, or simply treating yourself on a Sunday or whenever you have a day off work.

Because honestly, life is too short not to eat cake!

Why Mini Cakes? 

Mini cakes are like the fairy tale version of desserts.

Small, sweet, and oh-so-pretty – they bring a bit of magic to your tea table.

Plus, they’re great for sharing (or not sharing… no judgment here).

They’re also the perfect excuse to get creative in the kitchen. With frosting, florals, fresh fruit, and even a dusting of edible glitter if you fancy!
