Around The Outskirts Of Nottingham Castle In Summer. Hello friends, so how are you today? We love to visit Nottingham and a walk up to the castle is always fun. Such a beautiful place and a perfect photo opportunity!
We noticed it was a good price for a yearly pass but didn’t have much time, on this visit to go inside. Watch this space as it is something we plan to do in summer. But we did have lots of fun around the castle last week when we went out in Nottingham for the afternoon.

Around The Outskirts Of Nottingham Castle In Summer:
Around The Outskirts Of Nottingham Castle In Summer. About Nottingham Castle: Nottingham Castle is a Stuart Restoration-era ducal mansion in Nottingham, England. Built on the site of a Norman castle built starting in 1068.
Last year they had a whooping £31 million pound re-furnish. So I am looking forward to seeing how much it has changed since our last visit.

Afternoon Drinks In Nottingham:
Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem | Afternoon Drinks In Nottingham. It was nice last week, when my husband and I had an afternoon in Nottingham. A fun day with a visit to our favourite pubs, bars and Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem Inn.
Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem sits at the foot of Castle Rock. The ancient sandstone outcrop upon which Nottingham Castle is perched. The inn’s location is no coincidence; it served as a stopping point for knights and crusaders journeying to the Holy Land, hence the name.

I’m At A Payphone Trying To Call Home:
Firstly, I’m At A Payphone Trying To Call Home. I’m trying to call home from a pay phone not far from Nottingham Castle. On a day out with my daughter on Sunday, I took these pictures.
As we arrived home and I looked at these photos, I couldn’t help but think that the song lyrics below belonged with the picture above. I’m at a payphone trying to call home. All of my change I spent on you.
I have actually been singing this tune all week long. You don’t see a red phone box very often these days, do you? We simply have to take a selfie in front of one whenever we see one!
It would be impolite not to, hehe. I can’t believe we didn’t walk inside and test if the phone inside worked because this one is so nice and bright.

Nottingham Castle And The Robin Hood Statue:
Secondly, Nottingham Castle And The Robin Hood Statue.
Visiting Nottingham Castle and the iconic Robin Hood Statue promises an enchanting journey into the heart of English folklore and history.
As one steps foot into the grounds of Nottingham Castle, perched high on its sandstone cliff, a sense of grandeur and intrigue envelops the atmosphere.
I always have to go and get a photo with Robin Hood. It would be rude not to! Haha.

This dress is still one of of my favourites, I just do not get to wear it much in winter unless I team it up with my chunky red jumper, thick black tights and boots. Back then when these photos were taken, we were going through a mini heatwave! Also, I had been burning hot just popping out in the garden.
