It is still red hot outside at 6 pm. It is so warm out there. All I want to do is hide in the shade and eat strawberries and sip on homemade iced cold lemonade.

Strawberry, Fig and Rosewater Salad. Why not, serve this as a summer dessert on warm balmy evenings. It’s healthy, slightly unusual and very pretty. It also works well as a special breakfast fruit salad.

You can find rosewater in most supermarkets and it’s worth the effort to get it as it really makes the dish.

How To Make A BerryWorld Strawberry, Fig and Rosewater Salad:

Strawberry, Fig and Rosewater Salad.

Indulge in a delightful symphony of flavours with this Strawberry, Fig, and Rosewater Salad. Fresh, juicy strawberries burst with sweetness, complemented by the delicate earthiness of ripe figs.

The addition of fragrant rosewater raises the dish with its subtle floral essence, adding a touch of sophistication to each bite.

All tossed together, this salad is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, perfect for a refreshing appetiser or a light and elegant side dish.

You Might Also Need:

Firstly, A Plastic Box, Mason Jars Or Glass Jar. These are the most popular choice due to their airtight seal and durability. Kilner Jar are also a great choice.

Secondly, A Cutting Board. For chopping up all your vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients, that need to be chopped.

Thirdly, A Sharp Knife. A good quality knife for chopping ingredients.

Preparation time: 5 minutes | Cooking time: n/a

Serves: 4

You’ll Need:

For The Syrup:

  • 100g caster sugar
  • 100ml water
  • 1 tsp rosewater

To Serve:

  • 500g strawberries
  • 4 figs
  • 200ml of Greek yoghurt

What To Do:

  1. Firstly make the syrup by combining the sugar and water. Bring it to the boil and simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Then take off the heat and add the rosewater. Cool completely.
  2. Next, take the strawberries and hull them, leave them whole and arrange on a platter or large plate.
  3. Quarter the figs and arrange on top. Finally, sprinkle over the rosewater syrup. Serve with the greek yoghurt on the side.
