New Dr. Oetker’s Pud In A Mug Banana And Choc Chip Review.
Do you sometimes feel like me, that you would like a piece of cake but the cupboard is bare?
Midweek when it is nearly time for the “Big Shop” you will see me opening all the cupboards looking for a little bit of cake. Invariably there will be nothing. I end up eating that out of date wagon wheel I passed on 30 minutes earlier!!
As someone once said ‘I love a bit o cake’.
I am always still hungry though, so think of making a nice big cake. With kids to pick up from school, there is not enough time. Damn.
This week Dr. Oetker has come to the rescue and introduced me to their Pud in a Mug range of microwaveable cake. A cake that is in packets so you can store in the cupboard all week until you need them, then simply makeup you favourite flavoured cake in a microwave in under 2 minutes when you need cake. Yeah, how cool!?
Dr. Oetker has recently launched the newest flavour to its Pud in a Mug range – Banana and Choc Chip and asked me if I would like to try some out- Yes, please!
Introducing Pud in a Mug from Dr. Oetker:
Our delicious range of Pud in a Mug is perfect for creating an indulgent sweet treat or pudding in under 2 minutes. Peel yourself away from your usual dessert, and enjoy the latest flavour from Dr. Oetker’s Pud in a Mug – Banana and Choc Chip.
Inspired by the ever-popular banana bread, the new sponge pud flavour can be cooked in the microwave in just 90 seconds to create a super easy, delicious banana flavoured sponge with gooey chocolate chips.
A perfect treat for enjoying in front of the TV, as a snack in the office, or making with the kids, the Pud In A Mug Sponge Puds and Velvety Desserts are the simplest way to enjoy a warm treat – just add milk, mix and microwave.
I could not wait to get started. Which flavour to try first? Rich Chocolate, Sticky Toffee, or Chocolate Chip? Oh yes, the new banana choc chip one!
New Dr. Oetker’s Pud In A Mug Banana And Choc Chip Review:
All you need to make a Pud in a Mug is a Dr. Oetker’s Pud in a Mug packet any flavour you like and about 4 tbsp of semi-skimmed milk.
These instructions are really easy to follow. Simply add 60ml of semi-skimmed milk into a microwaveable mug then empty the contents of the packet into the mug and stir. Pop into the microwave for 70seconds (800w) or check the packet for other times.
Then wait for the ping! Ready!
It tastes delicious and easy to make in under 2 minutes!
Yummy.
You can even jazz up your mug cake adding a few extras you may have in the fridge or cupboard for an extra special treat.
See I made mine extra healthy adding a banana.
I found a bit of squirty cream, a few slices of banana and some chocolate spread. Delicious.
Dr. Oetker has recently launched the newest flavour to its Pud in a Mug range – Banana and Choc Chip. Do you like the sound of banana and chocolate? If you like these flavours, you will love this. It tastes delicious filling me up too. Bonus.

Ahhh the ease and simplicity of this appeals to me greatly! LOVE the idea of a mug cake. (And totally laughed out loud at 'making it healthy by adding a banana…' and squirty cream and chocolate sauce! Lol.
I have never tried anything like this before, I will have to keep an eye out for them as I think my teen would love these x
Hi Claire, now this is the kind of cheat that appeals to me and I would certainly give them a go. First choice would be the rich chocolate, followed closely by the chocolate and lemon (an interesting combination).#weekendbloghopxx
