It was my Birthday a few days ago so I have been off out to spend my birthday money today 🙂

Why is it when you have no spare money you want to buy lots of things, then when you do have some, you do not see anything you like!?

Today I have another recipe for you to try: Chilli Con Carne. We love chilli con carne here. Served with rice and nachos with melted cheese on, delicious.

Chilli Con Carne

Chilli Con Carne.

How To Make Chilli Con Carne:

cooking time: 30 minutes

Serves 5


  • 400g ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 50ml Red wine
  • 400g kidney beans, soaked
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 125ml beef stock
  • One tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp sugar


  1. Firstly, add the beef, onions, garlic, chilli powder, cumin and coriander. Stir together.
  2. Add the wine and stock, tip in the tomatoes and kidney beans, stir in the tomato puree, caster sugar, oregano and bay leaf.
  3. Mix together, close the lid and set the press pressure release valve to closed and press MEAT FUNCTION.

    Where is the Caster sugar, Oregano,wine and stock in the recipe?
